Protect
your PC

Install an antivirus and maintain it
permanently bringing it up to date. Not updating
the antivirus is the same as
not having one;

Use a firewall to filter the traffic of the Internet that enters and exits the
computer;

Be aware of the security
updates from credible suppliers of software and apply them according to
the instructions supplied;
Protect your information

Do not access sites with personal or confidential/sensible information, or
which allow to carry
outbanking operations, through links. Always
type the complete
site address to which you want to access in the respective bar;

Never supply personnal
or confidential facts through electronic email, or any other means,
even though the entreaty be apparently legitimate;

Do not enter identifying
or confidential elements in sites, without confirming that it is in
a secure environment. Verify that the address begins with https: // followed by
the corresponding name of the site intended and the page contains a padlock on
the right lower corner;

Do not open messages of electronic mail without guarantee the identity of the
sender and confirming the matter. In case of doubts of the origin of the
message of electronic mail dispose of it at once without opening any file or
attatch;
Do not be fooled
Do not let yourself be
eluded with actions of third party associations designated by "social
engineering" or "art of mislead", that use "seduction
technics" for
obtaining personal
and/or confidential character information (ex: passwords, numbers of
identification - BI), subsequently
innapropriatly
used;
Use your Access Codes
with Care

Do not choose obvious identification codes easily identified (ex. :
111111;123456, password). Memorizes them and never provide them to other
people;
Defined passwords different for accessing different sites (ex. : Homebanking),
and for sites that do not demand big
security problems
