National exports registered in 2018, a new historical high, growing by 10% (USD 471 million), year on year. The increase in exports was transversal to most primary goods, especially coal, aluminum, electricity and natural gas. On the import side, the trend has also been increasing. The most significant increase (25%) was in transactions, excluding large projects, meaning a more buoyant private sector activity, which was reflected in the improvement of the economic climate indicator.
